What is the Deutschlandstipendium?

It is a monthly scholarship for students, half of which comes from private donors and the other half from public funds (Federal funds), in accordance with the rules of the national scholarship law.

What are the goals of the Deutschlandstipendium?

Since 2011, the Federal Government has supported talented and dedicated students with the Deutschlandstipendium. It aims to reward outstanding performance and social commitment, to strengthen society’s sense of responsibility for education and talent, and ultimately to contribute to a new scholarship culture in Germany. Former university graduates, other private individuals, companies, foundations and associations should be encouraged to support talented students with their contributions.

What are the advantages of the Deutschlandstipendium?

The Deutschlandstipendium provides incentives for excellence, which our country depends on in global competition, and contributes towards ensuring the availability of specialists. This results in the creation of strong local networks, which benefit the whole of Germany as a science location.
